Gentle Yoga and Relaxation Yoga
Explore gentle stretches that increase circulation and
flexibility. Learn breathing techniques and enjoy guided
meditation to help calm restless thoughts and create deep
relaxation. Both classes are
Kripalu based and encourage
listening to your body's wisdom. Both are suitable for all
levels of ability.
Gentle Yoga explores techniques in
breathing, meditation and traditional yoga
asanas (yoga
poses) while moving slowly and mindfully.
Relaxation Yoga
explores ways to unwind and stretch, combining slow,
flowing movements with breath awareness, while lying on
the floor.
See schedule.

Meditate & Relax
Learning how to meditate and relax supports the practice
of self-awareness.  Studies show that meditating regularly
relieves the physical tension and emotional stress that often
accompany our everyday lives. This class explores
traditional forms of meditation such as
Vipassana
(mindfulness of breath and body), walking meditation,

Metta
(loving kindness or well wishing), and Yoga Nidra
(dynamic sleep) as well as guided relaxation and
visualization techniques. To find out more about the
benefits of meditation, read the
article "Better Health May
Be Only a Breath Away."
